Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's life is one of football scholarships, family involvement and involvement in the community. He is the youngest child of Lucious Selmon, and Jessie Semon. They raised him on the farm they owned in Eufala. Two soccer. He is among the three brothers that played for Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-Americans. The year was 1973. Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy was named the best offensive lineman in the country by Outland and Lombardi Awards. During his three years as the Oklahoma's quarterback of choice and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and captured two national titles. Third scholarship he was named an National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete in 1975. Selmon graduated with a diploma from the University of California at Berkeley. Lee Roy dedicated ten volunteer times a week in the college. After college, he moved in Tampa and played for nine years with Tampa's Buccaneers. He made the All-Pro three times. He then began his professional career. In 1988, he was working as an Account Relation Manager at First Florida Bank in Tampa. He worked for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. He was no surprise that In 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy one of 10 young stars throughout the United States. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 6'2 inches. In his time at college, he commanded the team of 1975. In 1993, he was appointed the associate director of Athletics at University of South Florida. He was named to the College Football Hall of Fame through his fellow members of the GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame of 1994 as well as by the Pro Football Hall of Fame of 1995. Parents, Lucious and Mary Selmon Sr. have been awarded the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma presented the award.
