Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. She is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother has Spanish as well as English ancestry. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children. Four of them were born to Taylor's father's previous marriage. They lived in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and after which they moved to the Victoria district in London. Taylor-Joy said that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to go back to school in English as she wanted to return to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was required to take her. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. At 16, she left school in order to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to be an acting star began at a young, age. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one to hire her as model for professional models.
