Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer, and vocalist. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actress she serves as an inspiration to numerous Asian actors who wish to be successful in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular roles in the series. The most notable was her role in the Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. After a sudden surge in fame, the actress was offered roles on major screens such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Following that, she gave an an excellent role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime-lord O Ren Ishii. Around this same time she appeared in box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films such including Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce positive results. Southland is a critically acclaimed police drama that Liu starred regularly, was a role which allowed her to be a renowned as an actress. Liu takes great care in picking her roles so that she's not a typecast. She's accepted her Chinese roots however she has not let them hinder her creative abilities.
