
Elizabeth Chase Olsen (born February 16th 1989) is an American actress. Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She started acting at just four years old. In the year 2011, Olsen was a star in Martha Marcy May Marlene, her first film role. She received acclaim for her role and was nominated for the Critics Choice Movie Awards. Silent House was her next film role. Olsen was nominated for a BAFTA Rising Star Award and she graduated from New York University two year later. Olsen received worldwide recognition due to her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise which includes the films of superheroes Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), in addition to the mini-series WandaVision (2021). Her performance in WandaVision was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a mystery film Wind River (2017). She was co-producer and lead actor in Sorry for Your Loss (2018), receiving a Critics Choice Television Award nomination for acting as a widow.
